Righteousness

All  human race are regarded as  sinner in the sight of GOD not only because the sin they committed individually, but  because of the  nature of  Adam in man. 

Rom.3.23 - For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard.

The best of Man's  righteousness, as a result  of his good works cannot never attain GOD  righteousness , because  the righteousness of a man  is just like a filthy rag in the presence of GOD . But  despite the  short comings of man ,due to the nature  of Adam in man ,  some people still found  favor in the sight of GOD  because , they believed in the  name of God  and this was accounted for them as righteousness ( Abraham is a living example )

Gen.15.5 - Then the LORD brought Abram outside beneath the night sky and told him, "Look up into the heavens and count the stars if you can. Your descendants will be like that--too many to count!"

Gen.15.6 - And Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD declared him righteous .because of his faith.

It takes more than our  mere Good works ,Sacrifice  and manly effort to obtain GOD righteousness  ,there is a need for us to have faith in other  to obtain GOD righteousness .

Rom.5.17 - The sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over us, but all who receive God's wonderful, gracious gift of righteousness will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.

Rom.5.18 - Yes, Adam's one sin brought condemnation upon everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness makes all people right in God's sight and gives them life.

Rom.5.19 - Because one person disobeyed God, many people became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many people will be made right in God's sight.

 Even though  be default, we  were  once a sinner by the  nature Adam  in  us ,  but  because of the work  redemption of CHRIST  JESUS, we have be a made a righteousness of GOD in CHRIST JESUS.  

Even though when we are still a sinner  CHRIST died for us, expecting us to  believe in faith and  receive the free gift of GOD which  brings righteousness to the life of every man. 

The moment we take a step of faith to believe in the JESUS CHRIST  and his work of redemption on the Cross for us, we are being made right with GOD .

Righteousness simply means a state of a  man having  a full confidence  to come boldly in  and to the presence of GOD  without any form of condemnation  .

That is why there is no longer condemnation for those who are in Christ

Rom.8.1 - So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

Rom.8.2 - For the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death.

But this liberty  of righteousness we have in CHRIST does not give us a license to sin  , the Bible says  the  wage of sin is death  and  also , the Bible says that  we cannot walk in sin and ask for grace to abandon .

Note we have been  saved  with the expectation of  bearing good fruit worthy of  Repentance  because  the Bible says that, every tree that does not bears  Good fruit  will be cut off .

Yes GOD has saved us  but when we fail to  utilise GOD grace rightly  one might  end up  being cut off from the fold of the saved  ,I pray that won't be our portion in JESUS CHRIST name  Amen .

 We as a believer  have been made the righteousness of GOD in  CHRIST JESUS  and we are  automatically  joined  with CHRIST,  but  let us now pay  attention to what the LORD is saying in the book of revelation ,

Rev.3.15 - "I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were one or the other!

Rev.3.16 - But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth! .

For us  to continually remain in JESUS CHRIST forever , there is a need for us to consistently engage in  building our spiritual life by  consistently exposing our self to the LIGHT of the WORD of  GOD (read , study & meditate )and  also , engage in  intensive  prayer(Scriptural prayer and Prayers in the HOLY GHOST)
